Predict every match. Outsmart your friends.

Each match is scored on closeness: the exact score earns 3 points, the right goal difference 2, just the right outcome 1, and a miss 0. Nailing an exact score few others dared brings a rarity bonus on top.

At kickoff, per match, enforced by the server - not your clock. Until then you can change your pick as often as you like, from the fixtures page, your picks, or the match view.

Once per round you can mark one match as your joker: it doubles every point you earn on it. You can move it to another match in the same round as long as neither match has kicked off.

Before the first kickoff, call the team that lifts the trophy. If you are right you collect a bonus at the final - bigger the bolder the call (the lower your pick's FIFA ranking at pick time, the more it pays) - and your crowned flag watches over your fixtures all tournament long.

Only after a match kicks off. Your pending predictions are private, so nobody can copy your genius before lock.

Predictions are scored on the final score of play; penalty shootouts decide who advances but never your points. A knockout draw that goes to penalties scores as a draw.

From publicly accessible FIFA and UEFA endpoints: fixtures, live scores (about every two minutes during matches), squads, and stats. Bookmaker odds come from Sofascore, and the world map is OpenStreetMap.

Completely. The whole project is open source under the WTFPL - you can read every line, run your own instance for your friends, and do what you want with it.

Alongside your champion, pick the player you think finishes the tournament's top scorer. Everyone who picked a player tied for the most goals (own goals excluded) collects a bonus at the final.

Leagues are groups scoped to a competition, private (shareable code) or public. Create one or join your friends' - your predictions are always yours; leagues just filter the rankings and crowd stats to that group.

Yes. While matches are in play the leaderboard shows provisional standings - your in-progress picks scored at the current scoreline, updating live as the goals go in. The group tables on a match move live too.

Every prediction is scored on the regulation (90-minute) result. The full formula:

points = (base + rarity) × multiplier (+ champion & Golden Boot at the final)

base = 3 exact score (home & away both right)
2 right goal difference (and right outcome)
1 right outcome only (win / draw / loss)
          0 otherwise

rarity = a bonus on an exact score, by how rare your scoreline was
among the players who also got the result right:
          +5 < 1% +4 < 5% +3 < 12%
          +2 < 22% +1 < 35% +0 otherwise (needs ≥ 5 such players)
plus a smaller add-on for a rare but correct result, by how
          few of all players called that outcome: +2 < 10% +1 < 25%

multiplier = 2 on your round joker, and on every final
              1 otherwise

champion = season-long bonus if your winner pick lifts the trophy,
bigger the longer the odds (FIFA-rank tiers, up to 4×)
Golden Boot = bonus if your top-scorer pick finishes the tournament's top scorer

Example: you call Brazil 2-1 and it finishes 2-1 - an exact score (3). Among everyone who also saw the Brazil win, only ~4% nailed 2-1, so the rarity tier adds +4, for 7 points. On the final, or with your joker, it doubles.
